MONDAY DEVOTIONS
FRUIT
OF THE SPIRITBut the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
GALATIANS 5:22-23FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, do not be discouraged when you feel barren. Each of the seeds I have planted within you I prune, feed, and tenderly nurture to its full potential. Soon you will yield the beautiful fruit of love, joy, and peace - all the qualities of My nature that I have given you. The more you abide in Me, the more fruit you will bear. My Spirit is the One working through you. You can never bear fruit alone. Rest in Me today.A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
Where else could I find a tree with perfect fruit? You, Lord, are the fruit of the spirit. You are the picture of perfection, and every good fruit we need is found in You. Thank You for planting seeds within my heart that I, too, might bear luscious fruit for You.SIMPLE TRUTH
Fine tuning often requires severe pruning.

RYC: aww I'm sooo sorry to hear about your doggie
The dog I had before we got Daisy had a stroke and had to be put down the day after my birthday a couple years ago. I like to think that she held on for my birthday b/c she didn't want it to be a sad day for me. I hope you have a good Monday as well ttyl <3 jess
That is a beautiful devo. I love that - every good fruit we need is found in Him. Thank God for His Spirit working through us!
Simple truth.....
SUCKS!!!!
I don't want fine tuning and severe pruning. Hurts too much.
But.
I do want His fruit.
Sigh.
Thanks for recommending my poem!
Just want you to know that I am praying for you...may you wake up one morning and realise that you really *do* have strength to make it through yet another day, and to discover that you were born to service. May each day be a step closer to the Heavenly City, and may you gladly decorate it with your works of kindness, gentleness and mercy. May you go from obligated service to passionate service-- and may you know that the Lord changes our hearts to do so with aggressive joy.
You can say that again. God uses suffering to glorify Himself in our lives. And it's hard to be humbled in that way.
@craigellachie - thanks so much...that was beautiful

A great reminder.
It is hard to see the advantage of pruning when it is happening. But we have to remember He is even the Master in that too.
