  • SALVATION IS ALL OF GOD

“All is of God; the only thing of my very own which I contribute to my redemption is the sin from which I need to be redeemed.”

    - William Temple, quoted by Sinclair Ferguson, In Christ Alone (Lake Mary, FL: Reformation Trust Publishing, 2007), 42.

I am on day 4 of physical therapy for my right shoulder.  What ever I did to it, I don't want to do again.  The doctor said I have calcium deposits on the tendon.  Now how ever did that happen??

Let me tell you that those exercises were really hurting me today.  But the "saving grace" is the ice pack, always coming at the right time, never failing to bring relief when I need it most.

God is like that too....He is my saving grace......is He yours today????????

  • I don't have any idea how people make it without God in their life. It is hard enough with Him sometimes.

Thanks for the visit. I love the whole idea that a shy missionary gal brought me coffee from Kenya.

  • That is a great quote ... I've never heard that one before! Thank you for the link on that book, too. Are you reading it? I'd like to get a copy of that myself.

RYC: I'm so glad you came by, Susan ... haven't been doing any visiting for a few days, so I thought I'd try to catch up a little here. Yes, I heard about the lightening strikes that started those fires ... today I heard there are like 1000 burning! Wow .. well, I'm glad you're okay there!! Yes, gas prices go up and down here too .. I agree, it is nuts! I hope Amy had a good time at horse camp! I remember a place I rode horses when I lived out there ... it was in Irvine, and I loved it.

I hadn't heard about your shoulder! I'll be praying for you! My son's shoulder seems to always go in and out of the socket, even when he's sleeping, and that is really painful for him ... they've given him exercises to do as well. Not sure how he's doing with that, not being able to be there, but I hope he's doing what he needs to, to get better! We're concerned about his 'rotator cuff'! I do hope yours feels better soon, too, Susan! Calcium deposits ... alot on the internet about that ... check out this site HERE. It answers some common questions about it.

You have a good week, my friend. I'm just having a quiet one myself ... we all need that from time to time, don't we?! You be blessed.

    Hugs,

  • Grace is such a small word but such a meaningful one for the child of the King.  I am so thankful for His grace!

  • Always is God my saving grace! Hope the shoulder feels better soon.Take care and God Bless!

  • Hi Susan! I do pray that your shoulder feels better soon -- just think about the toned muscles you'll have when therapy is over

  • Yes, today & everyday God is my saving grace!  Don't know where I would be without it!  Hope your shoulder feels better quickly & that the therapy helps.

Have a great Thurs!  Love ya!

  • Great quote!!!  I hope you've been able to get a little rest for your shoulder.  PT can be so difficult!

  • I hope that your shoulder is feeling better today!
Yes God is my saving grace every day, all day...
Don't know what I would do without Him!

  • So sorry to hear you are enduring even more pain.  Hope you feel better soon.

  • I am learning more and more about Him being my saving grace each day.
I am glad that they are helping your pain and that they have found out the reason for it.
I pray that God brings healing soon.

  • Oh yes, He is certainly mine...  especially this week.  All isn't well, but God is in control and I rest in that - even when everything seems most topsy-turvy.
Your shoulder sure sounds painful!  Praying that your week will get better, Susan~
